I am an Italian artist, living in London since 1999. I learned printmaking as a young art student in Florence and I went back to it after a long hiatus. I don't consider myself a real printmaker, more a painter who makes prints that in an ongoing dialogue with other works.
Most of my prints are monotypes: I manipulate the ink with brushes, little squares of gauze or my fingers, often working from dark to light.
My paintings have been selected for the BP Portrait Award, the Threadneedle Prize, the Ruth Borchard Self Portrait Competition, the Lynn Painters Stainers Prize. I show regularly in UK and Italy and my work is in private collections in UK, USA, Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Germany and the Netherlands
