I am a painter/printmaker. I enjoy making monoprints because I love drawing. The method gives up some unexpected and exciting results in addition to the 'intended' image.
When making linoprints I draw with cutting tools straight into the lino following no preparatory lines or drawing. This gives a fluidity of shape and form to the print. I sometimes work into the final image using paint and/or collage.
